In advanced stages of anemia, various symptoms may emerge, such as pica (a craving to consume ice and other non-food items), a bluish discoloration of the whites of the eyes, brittle nails, dizziness upon standing up suddenly, noticeable paleness of the skin, shortness of breath even during mild physical activities, and the formation of sores inside the mouth and on the tongue.
