The lifetime prevalence is reported to be between 0.3% and 5.1%. Anaphylaxis can occur in adults, infants, and children; its incidence is particularly higher in children aged 0-4 years. Global data indicate that the mortality rate varies from 0.35 to 1.06 per million people, with a higher frequency of deaths in adolescents and adults. While comprehensive data on the incidence of anaphylaxis across Turkey is not available, the incidence in Istanbul, according to ICD records, has been reported as 1.95 per 100,000 people.
