In most cases of pulmonary fibrosis, a specific cause cannot be determined. These cases are referred to as 'Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis'. However, known causes of pulmonary fibrosis include various factors such as long-term exposure to certain toxins, some medical conditions, radiation therapy, and particular medications.
