Over 80 autoimmune diseases are currently identified. Some of the most commonly encountered autoimmune diseases include type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, conditions affecting the thyroid gland such as Graves' disease and Hashimoto's disease; conditions affecting the intestines such as Crohn's disease and celiac disease; and skin-affecting conditions like Behçet's disease, psoriasis, and vitiligo also fall into this category.
