Endometriomas, often referred to as chocolate cysts, typically do not resolve spontaneously. The most effective treatment approach is surgical removal. While certain medications may help manage symptoms and slow cyst growth, they generally do not eliminate the cysts. In cases where a cyst ruptures, its contents can spill into the abdominal cavity. However, if the cyst wall is not entirely excised, the risk of recurrence remains significantly high.
