On Computed Tomography (CT), findings typically include evidence of diverticulosis, colonic wall thickening, and inflammatory changes in the pericolic fat (fat stranding) surrounding the affected diverticulum, consistent with Hinchey 1a diverticulitis. Further imaging findings, such as abscess formation or perforation, are observed as the disease progresses through more advanced stages of the Hinchey classification.
