Among both major and minor salivary glands, pleomorphic adenoma is the most frequently observed benign tumor, accounting for 50% of all salivary gland tumors and 65% of all parotid gland tumors. Concerning malignant tumors, mucoepidermoid carcinoma is the most common type across major and minor salivary glands. It constitutes 10% of all salivary gland tumors and 35% of all malignant salivary gland tumors. Notably, mucoepidermoid carcinoma predominantly originates in the parotid gland.
