For the first 5-6 days following a tummy tuck, patients may experience difficulty walking upright due to tension in the surgical area. Initially, it is recommended not to force an upright posture. Patients should take small steps, leaning slightly forward, preferably with assistance. Within a few days, they will gradually regain the ability to walk upright independently. For the first 4-6 weeks, wearing a surgical corset is advised to provide support to the internal sutures and abdominal muscles, which significantly enhances comfort and aids the healing process. During this recovery period, strenuous exercises and any activities that put strain on the abdominal region must be strictly avoided.
