For individuals working in professions at risk of prepatellar bursitis, it is recommended to avoid direct contact of the knees with the ground whenever possible. If placing the knees on the ground is unavoidable, using a thin cushion or a soft knee support under the knee can reduce direct contact and prevent the development of prepatellar bursitis. To prevent prepatellar bursitis, injuries and excessive loading of muscles should be avoided. It is especially important to regularly perform appropriate warm-up and cool-down exercises during sports. For instance, wearing knee pads in sports like volleyball or in situations where one spends extended periods on their knees can provide protection by preventing impacts and friction on the kneecap. Furthermore, maintaining optimal knee flexibility and the strength and endurance of leg muscles also reduces the risk of prepatellar bursitis. To achieve this goal, regular physical activities and exercises should be performed.
