Rectal cancer is not contagious and cannot be transmitted from one person to another. There is no evidence to suggest that cancer can be spread through respiratory droplets, airborne particles, direct contact, or sexual intercourse. However, colorectal cancer, which includes both rectal and colon cancers, does have a genetic predisposition. Individuals with a family history of colorectal cancer have a higher risk of developing the condition themselves.
