During an echocardiography procedure, the patient is typically positioned on their left side. After a special gel is applied to the chest, a device called a transducer is gently moved over the heart area. This procedure utilizes ultrasound technology and does not involve X-ray radiation. It is generally painless and does not cause any known side effects in patients. All structural and functional details of the heart can be viewed in real-time on the echocardiography device's screen. All findings obtained are meticulously evaluated by the cardiologist performing the examination.
