Salivary gland biopsy can be performed using various methods, including open biopsy, fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), core biopsy, and frozen section biopsy. Currently, FNAB (Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy) is a frequently preferred method for evaluating masses in the parotid and submandibular glands. For masses in minor salivary glands, open (incisional) biopsy performed with forceps is more commonly applied.
