The time it takes for endoscopy results to be released varies depending on the scope and purpose of the procedure. If the endoscopy was performed for the direct detection of conditions like ulcers, preliminary findings can often be shared with you by your doctor immediately after the procedure. However, if tissue sampling (such as a biopsy) was performed, the definitive diagnosis requires laboratory examination, and thus, the results may take several days to be reported.
