Kinesiological taping is generally a safe procedure with no serious side effects. However, skin reactions may be observed in the area where the tape is applied. These reactions can typically manifest as allergic responses to the polyacrylate adhesive, which provides the tape's stickiness, or as local irritation. If such a condition occurs, the tape should be removed immediately. Furthermore, if there is an open wound, irritation, significant redness, or sensitive/healing skin structure in the area before application, the treatment should be postponed until the skin's health has fully recovered. For diabetic patients, as sensory impairments may be present, kinesiological taping should be applied carefully and under control. Additionally, if there is an active infection or symptoms related to vascular occlusion around the application area, the treatment should definitely not be applied.
