The TAVI procedure is performed under local anesthesia and light sedation. Access is gained through the femoral artery in the groin, and a specialized catheter system containing the new valve is guided to the heart's aortic valve. Once at the target location, the prosthetic valve, mounted on a stent, is carefully deployed. The procedure is completed after advanced imaging techniques confirm the correct positioning and proper functioning of the valve. The TAVI method is performed without any surgical incision.
