The preparation process for spinal injection methods varies depending on the specific technique applied. For certain procedures such as Transforaminal/Caudal Epidural Injection, Epidural Hyalase Injection in the treatment of postoperative fibrous tissue, and Intradiscal Ozone Therapy, patients are required to arrive on an empty stomach. As these procedures necessitate operating room conditions, a day-stay for the patient is mandatory. A post-procedure observation period of approximately 4-5 hours is required, during which vital signs (blood sugar, blood pressure, pulse) are closely monitored. Furthermore, since numbness in the leg may develop and persist for 3-4 hours after the procedure, patients must remain under hospital observation during this period. Patients are typically discharged after the observation period. For other injection methods, no special preparation process is necessary. These procedures can be safely performed in an outpatient clinic setting with ultrasound guidance. A rest period of approximately 10 minutes post-procedure will be sufficient.
