Tracheal surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia; however, local anesthesia may be preferred in certain cases. The patient is placed in a supine position on the operating table. After the surgical field is determined, anatomical dissection of the trachea is performed according to the specific procedure. To facilitate end-to-end anastomosis of the trachea, various mobilization maneuvers and techniques, such as neck dissection, mediastinal dissection, and lung mobilization, are applied as needed.
