According to World Health Organization data, the incidence of anaphylaxis in the normal population ranges from 50 to 112 per 100,000 person-years. The lifetime prevalence is 0.3% - 5.1%. It can occur in adults, infants, and children, with higher incidence in children, particularly those aged 0-4 years. The mortality rate, based on global data, ranges from 0.35 to 1.06 per million. Mortality is higher in adolescents and adults. While precise data on anaphylaxis incidence in Turkey is unavailable, a study in Istanbul using ICD records reported an incidence of 1.95 per 100,000.
