Avoidant Personality Disorder

The individual avoids occupational activities that involve interpersonal contact due to fears of criticism, disapproval, or rejection. It is characterized by feelings of inadequacy in social situations and excessive sensitivity to negative evaluation. They generally do not engage in relationships unless they are certain of being liked. They exhibit inhibited behavior in close relationships for fear of ridicule or embarrassment.


Dependent Personality Disorder

Dependent personality disorder is a personality disorder characterized by submissive, clinging behavior and fears of separation, more consistent with a need for care. They experience considerable difficulty making everyday decisions unless they receive a great deal of advice and reassurance from others. They require others to assume responsibility for most areas of their life. They experience difficulty initiating and sustaining projects independently.


Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

These individuals are preoccupied with details, rules, lists, order, organization, or schedules to the extent that the major point of the activity is lost. They are characterized by excessive perfectionism, meticulousness, and efforts to control their thoughts and interpersonal relationships.
