Before surgery, the surgical area will be shaved. To minimize the risk of skin infection, a pre-operative bath using a special antiseptic solution, as recommended by your doctor, is required. Fasting is mandatory for 6 hours prior to the operation. A simple enema will be administered on the evening before surgery. Medication may be provided the night before to ensure restful sleep.
