Alongside traditional microscopic methods in ear surgery, endoscopic ear surgery has recently emerged as a prominent minimally invasive technique, also known popularly as 'closed ear surgery.' This technique allows for many different ear surgeries to be successfully performed by entering through the ear canal with a specialized endoscope, without requiring any external skin incision. The endoscope is a thin, tube-shaped device with a lens at its tip that provides visualization.
