1. In cases of adenitis confirmed to be caused by infection through medical examination and tests, antibiotic treatment and subsequent follow-up appointments must not be neglected.
2. For lymph nodes where no signs of infection are detected and malignancy is not suspected, a follow-up after a period of antibiotic treatment may be recommended if deemed appropriate by the doctor. However, if there is even the slightest suspicion regarding the appearance of the lymph node in radiological images, a tissue diagnosis (biopsy) must be performed, and medical follow-up should not be delayed.
3. In children, dental caries and upper respiratory tract infections can lead to significant lymph node enlargement in the head and neck region. Therefore, educating children on oral and dental hygiene is beneficial. Nevertheless, it is crucial not to dismiss these conditions as simple infections, as more serious underlying diseases should not be overlooked.
