In an NST test, the baby's heart rate is normally between 120-160 beats per minute. In a healthy fetus, fluctuations (variability) in heart rate are observed. Additionally, a temporary increase in heart rate (acceleration) with fetal movement, followed by a return to its normal rhythm, is also an expected finding.
