An aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a benign tumor and does not directly cause death on its own. However, in very rare cases, it can grow excessively, especially in critical areas such as the pelvis or hip bones. In such advanced cases, serious complications can arise due to the cyst's large size, location, and the pressure it exerts on surrounding tissues. Delayed treatment or the cyst reaching an advanced stage where it cannot be completely surgically removed can indirectly threaten life due to pressure or damage to vital organs and blood vessels in the affected region.
