The Tilt Table Test is performed under the supervision of a trained nurse, technician, and a cardiologist. During the test, the patient is securely fastened to a specialized, bed-like platform. Initially, the patient rests in a horizontal position for approximately 10 minutes. Subsequently, the platform is slowly tilted to a near-vertical position at an angle of 60-70 degrees, and the patient remains in this position for a specified period. If no significant change in heart rate or blood pressure is detected at this stage, sublingual nitroglycerin may be administered to dilate blood vessels and promote blood pooling in the legs. This medication causes the body to perceive that it has been standing for a longer duration. After the patient is held at this angle for an additional period, their physiological responses are carefully monitored.
