At our center, POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy), one of the world's most advanced endoscopic treatment methods for achalasia, is successfully applied. As this endoscopic procedure leaves no external incision marks on the body, it offers aesthetic advantages and enables patients to recover quickly and be discharged. Following the POEM procedure, which typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, patients can usually start normal eating after 1 day and return to their daily lives without issues on the 2nd day. POEM stands out for its high long-term success rates in achalasia treatment and is safely performed at our center using modern endoscopic systems.
