The Tilt Table Test is a method used for the diagnosis of fainting (syncope) episodes characterized by sudden drops in blood pressure and/or heart rate, which occur as a result of prolonged standing motionless or suddenly rising from a seated position. This test is an important tool in differentiating the potential causes of syncope and especially in detecting imbalances in the autonomic nervous system, which regulates blood pressure and heart rate within our central nervous system.
