Paget's disease can affect the body's electrolyte balance, particularly calcium levels. As the disease also impacts secondary structures related to bones, various complications may arise. These complications can include muscle cramps, spasms, and impaired liver function. More rarely, but potentially severe, problems such as neurological issues, heart failure, and certain types of cancer can occur.
