Lymph nodes are a crucial part of our immune system. They are responsible for protecting our body from microbes, tumor cells, and their spread. Approximately 600 lymph nodes, typically ranging from 5 mm to 1 cm in size, are found in various parts of the body such as the neck, in front of and behind the ear, under the jawbone, armpits, groin area, and internal organs. These nodes, containing white blood cells, play a critical role in the healthy functioning of the immune system by filtering bacteria and toxins from the body.
