In the diagnosis of Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (Broken Heart Syndrome), a coronary angiography performed on patients presenting with severe chest pain and arrhythmia reveals no significant obstruction or narrowing in the main coronary arteries supplying the heart. However, noticeable edema and functional dilation are observed in the affected myocardial region of the heart. One of the characteristic features of this syndrome is that, typically within 3 months of follow-up, with supportive treatment, the myocardial edema and impairment in heart function completely resolve, returning the heart to its normal structure and function.
