Prenatal diagnosis of Spina bifida is possible. During routine prenatal check-ups, ultrasound examinations can detect characteristic cystic structures or other structural abnormalities specific to Spina bifida. Additionally, in cases of concerns regarding fetal development or an excess of amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios), amniotic fluid analysis can also be performed to aid in diagnosis.
