The PIPAC method is applied in cases where the tumor has not metastasized to extra-abdominal organs (brain, lungs, bones, etc.) or tissues. It is particularly preferred for patients who are not suitable for major surgery but experience cardiorespiratory problems due to severe ascites and have widespread cancer dissemination in the peritoneum (peritoneal carcinomatosis).
