Dysentery, also commonly known as 'bloody diarrhea,' is a serious gastrointestinal disease caused by bacterial or parasitic infections. This infection manifests with symptoms such as severe diarrhea (often bloody), high fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and weight loss. Insufficient hygiene conditions, consumption of contaminated food, and water are the primary routes of disease transmission.
