The recovery period after osteoid osteoma surgery varies depending on the tumor's location, size, and the treatment method applied. When minimally invasive methods like radiofrequency ablation (RFA) are used, patients can usually be discharged the same day and bear weight on their limb. In cases where the osteoid osteoma tumor is removed via open surgery, the hospital stay is typically 1-2 days. Depending on the degree of bone damage and the size of the removed tumor, the affected limb may need to be rested or protected from weight-bearing for 1 to 6 weeks.
