Micropenis is a congenital condition that typically arises due to various fetal hormonal deficiencies. Among these deficiencies, the most common is hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, characterized by a decrease in male hormone levels. Micropenis can also be associated with genetic syndromes or develop as a result of idiopathic (unknown cause) conditions. On the other hand, penile shortness can be linked to certain medical and surgical conditions. These conditions may be observed in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, individuals with Peyronie's disease, and those with congenital anomalies.
