While Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is generally considered a safe procedure, it does carry some potential risks. Among these risks, the development of an allergic reaction to the contrast medium is one of the most common. Additionally, there is a risk of infection during the procedure, and in very rare cases, minor injury to the uterus may occur. Minimal radiation exposure is also involved, but this amount does not pose a serious threat to general health.
