TOETVA (Transoral Endoscopic Thyroidectomy) is a thyroid surgery method performed using specially developed endoscopic instruments and a camera, accessing through the inner part of the lower lip. This minimally invasive technique, also known as 'closed surgery' among the public, leaves no externally visible surgical scar as it is performed through a natural body orifice, the inside of the mouth. The healing process inside the mouth typically completes within 1-2 months, during which any internal scar completely disappears.
