Among patients undergoing thyroid surgery, concerns such as hoarseness, potential damage to the vocal cords, and the duration of such a condition are frequently raised. In Transoral Endoscopic Thyroidectomy Vestibular Approach (TOETVA), also known as scarless thyroid surgery, the risk of developing hoarseness is similar to that of open surgical approaches. However, thanks to the routine use of nerve monitoring technology during the operation, the likelihood of experiencing hoarseness is kept significantly low.
