On the day following arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery, patients are encouraged to stand with the support of crutches. It is important to begin knee flexion and extension exercises on the first day after the surgery. Crutch use typically continues for about 3-4 weeks until sufficient knee strength is achieved; however, this duration can vary depending on the patient's condition, the specific characteristics of the injury, and the presence of any accompanying lesions. In anterior cruciate ligament surgeries, a knee brace or cast is generally not required if there is no accompanying injury to the collateral ligaments.
