Ventricular tachycardia is a rapid heart rhythm originating from abnormal electrical signals in the heart's lower chambers. Treatment is individualized based on the patient's condition and may include rhythm-regulating medications, ablation, or in some cases, a multi-faceted approach involving devices such as an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). There are two main types of ventricular tachycardia: pulseless and with a pulse. Although it can be detected via electrocardiogram (ECG), additional diagnostic methods should also be employed for a definitive diagnosis.
