Trigger finger is characterized by several distinct symptoms. Commonly observed signs include finger stiffness, particularly in the mornings, and a noticeable clicking or popping sensation during finger movement. Patients may also experience a palpable lump or swelling at the base of the affected finger, along with the finger locking in a bent position. Additionally, pain when moving or straightening the finger, and tenderness at the base of the finger, are frequent complaints.
