The success of surgical treatment for liver cancer is closely related to tumor size. Post-surgical survival rates are significantly better for tumors smaller than 5 cm in diameter compared to those larger than 5 cm. Under ideal conditions (single tumor, smaller than 5 cm, and without metastasis), the expected 5-year survival rate after surgical resection is approximately 60%.
