Anaphylaxis is a rapidly developing severe allergic reaction. Typically, symptoms begin within minutes and fully emerge within the first two hours. This is particularly observed in cases of anaphylaxis due to drug and food allergies, and insect stings. In rare instances, however, such as in specific allergies like alpha-gal syndrome (red meat allergy), symptoms may appear 4 to 6 hours after red meat consumption.
