Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) survival time is correlated with treatment success. Giving a precise survival time is inaccurate, as treatment success varies depending on both patient and disease characteristics. Therefore, providing cure rates is a more rational approach. In the 1970s, the chance of cure for AML was around 10-50%, while after the 2010s, with the introduction of stem cell transplantation and targeted therapies, it has approached 70%. This increase is particularly noticeable in patients under 60 years of age.
