Computed tomography (CT) shows diverticulosis, colonic wall thickening, and stranding (heterogeneity) in the pericolonic fat surrounding an inflamed diverticulum (Hinchey Ia). Findings are consistent with diverticulitis, stage/grade specified according to the Hinchey classification.
