Facial palsy can be classified into three degrees. In the first degree, the facial nerve is stunned and returns to normal shortly. In the second degree, the facial nerve is damaged, but the outer part of the nerve is intact. It shows signs of improvement within a few months. In the third degree, there is serious damage to the facial nerve, recovery is slow, and sometimes surgical methods may be required.
