In neuropathy resulting from chronic kidney disease, the problem stems from toxic substances accumulating in the body. Medications to remove these substances and, if necessary, dialysis, contribute to neuropathy improvement.

Unfortunately, there's no effective treatment for genetic neuropathies, and most treatments remain experimental. In these cases, individualized physical therapy and symptomatic treatment to reduce symptoms may be applied.
