Diabetic foot is a rapidly developing wound on the feet of people with diabetes, caused by nerve damage called neuropathy. These wounds, often beginning as cracks, fissures, or calluses, become very difficult to treat if left unchecked. The diagnosis and treatment of foot wounds are crucial for preventing foot loss; delayed treatment inevitably leads to tissue loss. Therefore, a multidisciplinary team approach and various treatment modalities may be required.
