Cardiac aneurysms are managed expectantly unless they cause significant heart failure or valvular dysfunction. Surgical treatment may be considered in cases with significant heart failure, valvular involvement, suspected thrombus formation within the aneurysm, or aneurysm wall rupture. Furthermore, if a patient is undergoing cardiac surgery for another reason, concomitant management of the cardiac aneurysm should be performed.
