Botox treatment, possessing the property of inhibiting muscle contraction, can be applied in the treatment of achalasia. However, since the effect of Botox injection is short-lived, it does not provide a permanent solution and requires continuous repetition. These repetitions can cause the development of some fibrotic tissues in the lower part of the esophagus. Therefore, it is not a primarily preferred method.
